69. They Say

69.
They Say

People say I’m not a poet, I only write a rhyme.
I write in the language of my life, I write for all time.

I was young and I am old,
transmute base metals into gold.

Such was the goal of the alchemist,
his work is shrouded in the mist.

Who am I sorry for?
The girls I never kissed!
