Neighbour

The man across the road is good,
he does everything the way he should.

He is humble, honest, fair,
its good to know he’s there.

He knows a lot more than he lets on, never a show off,
he is careful, gets it right, I pause, a smoker’s cough.

He made some paths for us and now, a gate,
I always knew we needed it, why did we wait?

His work is a credit to him, as to all who choose.
Choose well. Our neighbour is good news.
